THE NEW MODERN SYSTEM FOR REPLACING STREET LIGHTING IN SETTLEMENTS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DIMITROVGRAD IS ALMOST COMPLETED
The new modern system for replacing street lighting in settlements in the municipality of Dimitrovgrad is almost completed and the current lamps are being replaced with energy-saving LED lighting. The replacement is being carried out under the project "Construction of a system for outdoor artificial lighting in the settlements of the municipality of Dimitrovgrad and the districts of Mariyno, Vulkan and Chernokonevo". Contract for the implementation of project No BG-RRP-4.025-0038, procedure BG-RRP-4.025 "Support for energy-efficient street lighting systems - call 1", priority axis "Low-carbon economy", National Recovery and Sustainability Plan of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The following villages already have new street lighting: Bodrovo, Brod, Bryast, Voden, Varbitsa, Golyamo Asenovo, Gorski Izvor, Dlagnevo, Dobrich, Dolno Belevo, Zdravets, Zlato Pole, Kasnakovo, Krepost, Krum, Malko Asenovo, Radievo, Raynovo, Svetlina, Skobelevo, Stalevo, Stransko, Chernogorovo, Yabalkovo, as well as the three city districts: Mariyno, Vulkan and Chernokonevo. The activities are about to be completed in the town of Merichleri and in the village of Velikan, too.
The value of the project, BGN 1,076,000 including VAT, is funded by the Recovery and Sustainability Plan.
The strategic goal of the municipality is to increase the energy efficiency of the own outdoor artificial lighting system, to reduce electricity consumption, maintaining high quality lighting, through its technological renewal and modernization, which will improve the living conditions of the population.
