THE MUNICIPALITY OF DIMITROVGRAD STARTS THE INSTALLATION OF FREE AIR CONDITIONERS UNDER A PROJECT
The delivery and installation of free air conditioning units for nearly 200 households in the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad were approved under the EU project for cleaner air. Their brand is Midea and the contractor is "Perfect Elektra" Ltd., the company that won the public procurement tender. The implementation of the project's second phase was delayed due to an appeal by one of the participating companies but the Supreme Administrative Court ultimately ruled its decision in favor of the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad. By the end of the project, a total of 2,058 new air conditioning units will be delivered and installed for nearly 900 households in the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad. The project aims to support the replacement of solid-fuel heating appliances with more eco-friendly alternatives, contributing to reduce the air pollution, improving the quality of life for all the residents. Should any funds remain, a third procedure will be launched again. By this activity, the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad continues to implement the project for more effective and environment-friendly heating methods for households.
