HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN CELEBRATED JUNE 1 IN DIMITROVGRAD
Hundreds of children celebrated June 1 in Dimitrovgrad central city avenue with a lot of smiles, music, dances, and festive mood. This year the motto of the event was ‘Party with Mugs’. In this way, the little ones investigated the world of the wild animals. There were workshops and attractions for children and their parents. As a tradition, the festive atmosphere was added by the performances of Brass Band Dimitrovgrad and the young singers Doby Duleva and Vivian Zheleva. Different thematic corners focused the attention of the children – ‘Adventures in the Jungle’, ‘Animal masks’, ‘The Crown of Elephants’, ‘The Parrot – My Friend’, ‘The Animal Map of Bulgaria’, and others. In the Art Corner, dozens of kids painted various characters with a glass of fresh lemonade. The Ice-cream Confectionary House was the favourite location for the children and their parents. The treat was sponsored by the biggest ice-cream company in Bulgaria – Fronery Ltd. Other interesting attractions were ‘Face Drawing Corner’ and ‘Photo Safari’. The festive initiative has been organized for years by the Mayor Mr. Ivo Dimov with the idea to transform the day in a special memory for children.
