‘REPLACEMENT OF THE STREET LIGHTING IN THE SMALL SETTLEMENTS’ PROJECT WON BY THE MUNICIPALITY OF DIMITROVGRAD
The municipality of Dimitrovgrad replaces the street lighting in the small settlements under the project "Construction of a system for external artificial lighting in the settlements of the municipality of Dimitrovgrad and the districts - Mariyno, Vulkan, Chernokonevo". New street lighting will be implemented in the town of Merichleri and the villages: Bodrovo, Brod, Briast, Velikan, Voden, Varbitsa, Golyamo Asenovo, Gorski Izvor, Dlagnevo, Dobrich, Dolno Belevo, Zdravets, Zlato Pole, Kasnakovo, Krepost, Krum, Malko Asenovo, Radievo, Raynovo, Svetlina, Skobelevo, Stalevo, Stransko, Chernogorovo, Yabulkovo, as well as the three city districts: Mariyno, Vulkan and Chernokonevo. The value of the project is BGN 1,076,000 including VAT.
The main objectives of the project are: Modernization of the external artificial lighting system of the Municipality in accordance with modern European requirements and the new achievements of lighting technology; Improving the quality of the external artificial lighting system in the populated areas of Dimitrovgrad Municipality; Increasing the energy efficiency of the external artificial lighting system and reducing the consumption of electrical energy; Bringing the external artificial lighting system to energy-intensive products; Creating conditions for safe movement of motor vehicles and calm atmosphere for pedestrians in the evenings and nights; Protecting the environment by reducing the emission of gases accompanying the production of electricity; Improving the night picture of the municipality and increasing the visual comfort of the city and villages.
The project is under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan and was developed to increase the energy efficiency of the outdoor artificial lighting system through technological modernization, which will improve the living conditions of citizens. Modern lighting system is synonym of prosperity for any municipality.
