FARMERS' MARKET COLLECTS THE FLAVORS OF THRACE AND THE RHODOPES IN DIMITROVGRAD
For the first time, a Farmers' Market will be organized within the festive program on the occasion of the Dimitrovgrad Festival - Aug 30 - Sep 2, every evening at 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM, behind the municipal administration building. Residents and guests of the city will be able to meet with local and regional producers, discovering a rich variety of homemade foods, farm products, and traditional crafts.
Among the highlights of the market will be dryed meat sausages from Yabalkovo village, as well as dairy products from the village of Smilyan. Visitors will be able to purchase beans, herbs, syrups, jams, and other traditional products from the Rhodope Mountain region. In the craft corners, black cumin oil, sesame oil, and ecologically clean honey will be offered by the farmers, as well. The list of goods includes also homemade mousses, sugar-free jam, lyutenitsa, and other products prepared with traditional taste.
Producers from the village of Sredno Gradishte, Chirpan Municipality, will also present their products, offering homemade foods, bread, various types of flour and drinks, homemade goat cheese, honey, bee pollen, as well as lavender products.
The pumpkins products from the village of Gorski Izvor, will also bring seasonal color to the market.
The farmers' market combines tastes, aromas, and traditions from Thrace and the Rhodope Mountains with focus on homemade foods. The initiative is an opportunity to support the small local producers, preserving the traditions of authentic Bulgarian production from generation to generation.
