DEVIATIONS IN WATER QUALITY IN SEVERAL DIMITROVGRAD VILLAGES
The Municipality of Dimitrovgrad was notified about deviations in the quality of water for drinking and domestic purposes in the Zlatopolska water system, which supplies drinking water to the villages of Zlato Pole, Golyamo Asenovo, Malko Asenovo, Bryast, Stransko, Zdravets, Dlagnevo, Dolno Belevo and Radievo according to radiological indicators. A parametric value of 0.150±0.012 mSv (with a certain parametric value of 0.1 mSv) has been calculated, which means that the drinking water does not comply with the requirements of Regulation No. 9 on the quality of water intended for drinking and domestic purposes.
In this regard, the water in the villages, mentioned above, is not suitable for drinking and food preparation purposes, until the non-compliances with the radiological indicator are eliminated and the quality of water for drinking and domestic purposes is restored. The water is limited for use for drinking and food preparation. After April 20, 2026, the water can be used only for hygienic purposes. The water supply company shall organize the provision and delivery of drinking water to the affected population with cisterns (water carriers) meeting the requirements for drinking water vessels and tanks.
