CITIZENS CAN APPLY FOR A FRIENDLY URBAN ENVIRONMENT COMPETITION
DIMITROVGRAD MUNICIPALITY ANNOUNCES:
Competition for recruiting projects from citizens for landscaping of inter-block spaces and gardens.
Deadline for submitting projects: 31.08.2022.
Deadline for approval of the projects: 10 days after the expiration of the notification period.
Purpose of the competition:
- improvement and protection of the urban environment
- improving the aesthetic appearance of inter-block spaces
- involvement of citizens in the protection of green areas in the city
Project proposals must meet the following requirements:
- improving the quality of life and the living environment
- increasing the attractiveness of the city
Condition for participation:
The citizens/ the applicants to be registered under the Condominium Management Act.
Method of application and assessment:
Required documents for application:

- Registration form;
- Project proposal with bill of quantities;
The project proposal must include:

- Detailed description of project activities;
- Quantity-value account of the activities, provided for in the project;
- Scheme/drawing of the inter-block space with marked locations of planned activities;
- Photo material of the existing situation;
Project activities to be funded may include improvements in the form of: cleaning and restoration of unmaintained grounds, landscaping, creating of recreation areas in inter-block spaces, installation of gazebos, benches, waste bins, children's facilities, sports facilities and other park furniture.
Activities ineligible for financing are: replacement of pavements around residential buildings, construction of parking lots, construction work.
Completed participation forms with the relevant projects should be submitted to the address: Dimitrovgrad Municipality, Dimitrovgrad 6400, 15 Rakovski Blvd., or at desk No. 1 in the building of Municipal administration, in an envelope.
The assessment is carried out by a commission, appointed by the Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality. The best projects will be financed in the amount of up to BGN 5,000 for each project. The financial resources will be provided by the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad to the house managers after completion and approval of the project activities, and reporting the necessary documents.
Criteria for evaluation and ranking of the projects
- Number of users
- up to 20 people – 2 points
- from 20 to 40 people – 5 points
- over 40 people – 10 points
- Co-financing (participation of users with their own funds)
- from 1% to 10% of the value of the planned costs - 2 points
- from 10% to 20% of the value of the planned costs - 5 points
- more than 20% of the value of the planned costs - 10 points
- Sustainability of the project -10 points:
- Suitable location
- appropriate location from residential buildings and streets with intense traffic - 5 points
- inappropriate location - 0 points
