DIMITROVGRAD WILL BE HOST OF THE MOST AUTHORIZED ARCHITECTURE EVENT IN BULGARIA
On October 14, 2022 Dimitrovgrad will host one of the most significant events in the country in the field of architecture, the National Architectural Forum on the theme "Dimitrovgrad - 75 years later - the new architectural heritage". The event will bring together teachers, experts, prominent architects, researchers and students, who will discuss the challenges of preserving the identity of the new architectural heritage, the role of legislation in this process and its development in line with the new times. The moderator of the forum will be the chief architect of the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad, arch. Elisaveta Georgieva, and among the panelists of the event are some of the brightest names in the knowledge and research of the historical period of the new architectural heritage.
The forum is organized by the municipality of Dimitrovgrad and is among the highlights of the events on the occasion of the anniversary of the city's founding. Dimitrovgrad is a unique part of the history of Bulgaria and Europe, and the preservation of its historical memory corresponds to the entire historical period of the second half of the last century and the cultural heritage closely intertwined with the European concept of identity. The program also includes an architectural walk around Dimitrovgrad - the urban example of the 20th century.
