REGISTRATION FOR THE #MARITSARUN MARATHON IN DIMITROVGRAD, MAY 2nd

Dimitrovgrad Municipality organizes a sports marathon "MaritsaRUN" with a distance of 5 km or 10 km. The sports event will be held in "Maritsa" Park on May 2, 2026, at 10 o’clock. The main goal of the event is to promote sports and an active lifestyle among citizens, as well as create opportunities for social inclusion and healthy initiatives. The initiators of the sports event are students and active athletes Daniel Yovchev, Dimitar Petrov, Martin Pashaliev and Isus-Manuel Kakalov. This year the organizers have the idea for children’s destination of 1 km. at 10.20 AM.

This year, the initiative has a charitable cause and 40 per cent of the fees are going to be shared.

The route includes passing through the main points in the park, starting from the main entrance and continuing in a northerly direction until reaching the skate park, passing through a green alley. The run continues to the "Relax Zone", leading to the alley with the art installations. Through the beautiful area of ​​the "Yubileyna" alley, participants will exit to the rosette in the central part of the park. The final point of the route coincides with the starting point, and the finish will be at the central entrance of the park. (for destination 5 km.; destination 10 km. has the same route and another repetition)

Rules and conditions of participation:

  1. Participation fee:

5 km – 12 euro for online registration until April 15; 15 euro for registration after April 15 or on-spot registration

10 km - 17 euro for online registration until April 15; 20 euro for registration after April 15 or on-spot registration

1 km (for children) – free of charge

 

2. Participants under 14 years of age are free of charge, but must be accompanied by an adult/parent.

3. Each participant can register in advance (www.marica5.com or on the spot).

4. The use of alcohol, narcotics and unsportsmanlike behavior is prohibited during the event.

5. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify participants who do not comply with the rules.

6. Participants assume all risk of any injuries, traumas or injuries. The organizers do not assume responsibility for injuries, traumas or injuries caused to participants during the race.

7. The participants agree to respect public order, as well as the protection of natural resources and cleanliness.

8. The participants give full consent to be photographed and videotaped during the run, and the material can be freely shared on the Internet.
