The festive mood around the tallest Chistmas tree in Europe
Christmas spirit was in the focus of the festive switching the lights on the tallest Christmas tree in Europe, situated in the heart of Dimitrovgrad. Santa Claus also had come for the exciting event.
Many children and adults filled the square, where Craft workshops and attractions offered souvenirs and emotions for the visitors. Nadezhda Georgieva and 6-year-old Ivaylo Georgiev were participants in the festive programme on the central city stage. The kids on the square were delighted with the arrival of Santa Claus, welcome by the dancers of ballet "Galaxico".
Ivo Dimov, the Mayor of the municipality, addressed to everybody with warm words, dedicated to the upcoming Advent:
"We have the brightest and the most awaited holidays. Soon the miracle of Christmas will bring us together with our dearest people to remind us those enduring values that give central meaning in life. Let the warmth, light and love fill the coming new year! ”.
The Christmas tree is 28.5 m high and is the tallest natural one in Europe. This year it is decorated with new balls, drops, and flash strings.
