RENOVATION OF THE RESIDENTIAL BLOCK, 15 PROSTOR ST.
The renovation activities of the residential block on 15 Prostor St. in Dimitrovgrad have been started. This will achieve 30% primary energy savings of the multi-family residential building. At a press conference today, the mayor Mr. Ivo Dimov said that the public benefits from the implementation of the project will be essential for the residents of the same block. He called on citizens to be careful and monitor the process of the renovation. The total cost of the project is 1,204,939.13 BGN including VAT. The full project name is "Support for sustainable energy renovation of the residential building stock - Stage I" under the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism of the Republic of Bulgaria, Special Position No 1, contract ID code BG-RRP-4.023-0171, 07.07.2025 - 30.06.2026. The press conference was also attended by the project manager Mrs. Anka Hristova, Mr. Yanko Velev – the representative of the contractor company, as well as the project team.
Anka Hristova introduced the attendees the planned construction activities within the scope of the project. The contractor assured that their intentions are to meet the commitments before the deadline. A symbolic first sod was laid according to the folklore tradition by the mayor of the municipality. The ceremony was also attended by officials, municipal councilors and citizens. Mayor Mr. Ivo Dimov shared with journalists the importance of the project and emphasized that this is the first of the twelve residential blocks that will be renovated under various programs in Dimitrovgrad. These are the blocks on 9 Patriarh Evtimii Blvd. (for 666,148.25 BGN. excluding VAT), 3 Grudi Kirkov St. (for 178,275.30 BGN excluding VAT), 46 Maritsa St., (for 75,960.78 BGN excluding VAT), 64 Parvi May St. (for 136,504.63 BGN excluding VAT), 7 Patriarh Evtimii Blvd. (for 2,010,334.34 BGN excluding VAT), 4 Stefan Stambolov Blvd. (for 2,213,404.95 BGN excluding VAT), 8 Hristo Smirnenski St. (for 896,049.02 BGN excluding VAT), 6 Hristo Smirnenski St. (for 924,764.23 BGN excluding VAT), 7 Prostor St. (for 1,447,394.76 BGN excluding VAT), 3 Petar Beron St. (for 1,113,516.75 BGN excluding VAT), and 32 Zahari Zograf St. (for 1,238,103.27 BGN excluding VAT).
Thanking MP Mr. Delyan Dobrev for the submitted bill amendment in the frame of the Energy Efficiency Act, Mr. Dimov emphasized that this would enable more citizens to benefit from the procedures for the renovation of their residential buildings.
