RENOVATION OF A MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL BUILDING ON 46 MARITSA STREET
The renovation activities of a multi-family residential building on 46 Maritsa Street have started, which will achieve 30% savings in primary energy of the building. At a press conference today, the Deputy Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality Yasho Minkov said that the initiative of the residents and the joint partnership with the municipality is the basis for the implementation of such projects. He invited citizens who have not registered associations to do so, so that they can apply for the programs with which to increase the energy efficiency of their residential buildings. The project manager Mrs Anka Hristova and the entire project team, as well as the representative of the contractor company, Eng. Nedzhatin Shakir, also took part in the press conference. The project "Support for sustainable energy renovation of the residential building stock - Stage II, of "Multi-family residential building in the city of Dimitrovgrad, 46 Maritsa" is implemented under the Operational Program - National Recovery and Sustainability Plan, Priority Axes Low Carbon Economy with contract number BG-RRP-4.024-0034 - С01 with a deadline until 30.06.2026. The total cost of the project is 96,579.90 BGN including VAT. Anka Hristova introduced the attendees in detail to the planned construction activities within the scope of the project. "The object is a multi-family residential building, which was built in 1955, i.e. 70 years ago. The goals of the project are: improving the energy performance of the building and achieving energy consumption class "A", reducing energy consumption, which will lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. The goal is to achieve up to 30% energy savings for residents after the implementation of the activities. The implementation of the measures also affects another goal - reducing energy poverty, as energy costs are reduced and in general this also affects the improvement of the conditions and quality of life of the users," explained Mrs Hristova. On site in front of the building, in the presence of citizens and journalists, a symbolic first sod was laid, with the announcement of the official launch of the activities by Deputy Mayor Mr Minkov and the project manager Mrs Hristova.
