THE SECRETARY OF DIMITROVGRAD MUNICIPALITY Mrs VENETA KOLEVA AWARDED THE WINNERS OF THE DRAWING COMPETITION “UNDER ONE SKY, EQUAL AND DIFFERENT”
The Secretary of Dimitrovgrad Municipality Mrs Veneta Koleva awarded the winners of the Student Drawing Competition on the theme “Under One Sky, Equal and Different”. Students from all educational institutions in the municipality, as well as children and students with special educational needs, took part in the creative competition. 27 participants in different categories and age groups were awarded this evening. The guests had the opportunity to view an exhibition of the winning drawings. Totally, 87 children and students from Dimitrovgrad took part in the competition, which was dedicated to the International Day of Tolerance - November 16, and the World Day against Violence to Children - November 19. The initiative was organized by the Antisocial Behavior of Minors and Juveniles Local Commission and the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad. The competition aimed to encourage children and students to express their understanding of tolerance, kindness and respect between people through art. The initiative stimulates creative thinking, civic engagement and affirms the values of mutual assistance, friendship and acceptance of differences as the wealth of human society. Twelve of the most impressive works will be included in the annual calendar for 2026, reminding children and young people the importance of tolerance, respect and good communication. The focus of the initiative is on the positive school environment and no acts of violence. It will also include short texts dedicated dealing with aggression and preventing bullying at school.
