THE CONCERT "70 YEARS LATER" LAST NIGHT IN THE THEATER
The audience applauded the concert of the State Opera Orchestra Plovdiv with the participation of musicians from the Brass Band Orchestra Dimitrovgrad "70 YEARS LATER". The conductors of the concert were Angel Filipov and maestro Petar Tuleshkov. The concert took place in the municipal drama theater and featured works by Mozart, Glinka, Ravel, Petko Staynov, Schubert and Rossini. The program was opened and ended under the conducting of the son of the conductor Dimitar Filipov, who was the first conductor of Brass Band Dimitrovgrad. Presenter of the concert was Mrs Daniela Koleva, a long-time musician with experience in Rome. The concert "70 YEARS LATER" was the culmination of Autumn Music Days "Zhul Levi" this year.
Earlier the same evening, the event was preceded by documentary exhibition, dedicated to the creator and the irst conductor of the brass and symphony orchestra Dimitrovgrad - maestro Dimitar Filipov, as well as, his contribution to the development of cultural life in the city. The exhibition was opened by the principal of the local Historical Museum - Mrs Antoaneta Stancheva. The event was attended by the Chairperson of the Municipal Council Mrs Gergana Krasteva, numerous cultural and musical figures, and a lot of citizens. In the exhibition, which can be viewed in the lobby of the theater, people can see original programs, posters, press publications, photos, and other interesting documents from the family archive of maestro Filipov.
