NATIONAL LITERARY AWARD PENYO PENEV ‘2024 – CALL FOR PROPOSALS
On the basis of Ordinances and Decisions of the Municipal Council – Dimitrovgrad,
DIMITROVGRAD MUNICIPALITY
ACCEPTS
Suggestions for winner of National Literary Award Penyo Penev ‘2024, which will be awarded to:
1. Bulgarian artists for high creative achievements and contribution to the development of Bulgarian poetry;
2. The award is given on National Days of Poetry, which are held on the occasion of the poet's birthday - May 7.
3. The prize can be awarded posthumously.
Proposals are made by:
1. The Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality;
2. The Chairman of the Dimitrovgrad Municipal Council;
3. Public organizations and creative formations;
4. Initiative citizens' committees with a composition of not less than 30 people, formed through a corresponding subscription.
5. Non-governmental organizations and associations working in the field of culture.
6. Cultural institutions.
An award proposal cannot be made by the award applicants themselves.
Proposals must be submitted in writing within 2 typewritten pages in the office of Dimitrovgrad Municipal Administration, not later than February 20, 2024. Proposals are submitted in person or by post. Proposals received by e-mail are not accepted.
The winner is determined by a 7-member committee, appointed by order of the Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality. The laureate proposed by the commission is confirmed by a decision of the Municipal Council - Dimitrovgrad. The award is presented by the Mayor of the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad at an official ceremony during the Days of Poetry (April 27 - May 7, 2024), and the laureate receives a diploma, a plastic sign and a monetary award.
