COMPANIES STOPPED AIR CONDITIONER REPLACEMENT UNDER A PROJECT IN DIMITROVGRAD BY APPEAL PROCEDURES
An appeal procedure has stopped the implementation of activities under the project for supply and installation of free air conditioners under the EU program.
" We hope for a ruling in our favor, but even in this case, an appeal by an unsuccessful company to the Supreme Administrative Court is possible. The municipality cannot commit to any deadlines regarding the work of the CPC and the Supreme Administrative Court. We hope that there will be a decision soon so that we can begin the actual work on replacing the air conditioners. We are ready to start immediately, but at this stage it does not depend on us," said the mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality Ivo Dimov at a press conference in front of journalists today.
The total budget of the project is BGN 16,008,430.91, and the applications submitted are 5,231, 415 households declaring a desire for pellet devices, 131 - for heat pumps and 4,831 - for air conditioners. All applications for pellet devices will be satisfied. 295 devices have already been delivered. By the end of July the remaining 120 devices will be delivered and installed. The tender documentation for the delivery and installation of the various types of heat pumps is in the process of being prepared. Based on market research conducted at the application stage, it is expected that contracts will be concluded with about 1,700 households that applied for air conditioners.
Deputy Mayor Yasho Minkov, who also participated in the press conference, explained that it was not possible to say the number of people who would be able to replace their air conditioners, because the delivery price was not clear until the CPC and the Supreme Administrative Court’s decisions.
