Dimitrovgrad Municipality received a Label for Innovation and good management at local level from the Council of Europe
At a solemn ceremony last night, which took place at Boyana Residence, the mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality Mr.Ivo Dimov received the Label for Innovation and Good Management at local level 2020-2022. The award is given by the Council of Europe. The crystal statuette and a diploma were presented to the mayor by the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Mrs. Petya Avramova.
Dimitrovgrad Municipality has received that recognition for the fifth time. The label is given for excellent democratic governance, high quality of public services and good practices in the implementation of public policies. Based on researched practices and a survey among the citizens, prepared by independent experts, the degree of the principles of good management includes: Fair elections, Civic participation; Responsiveness; Efficiency; Transparency; Rule of law; Ethical behavior; Competence and capacity; Innovation and openness to change; Sustainability and long-term orientation; Stable financial management; Human rights, cultural diversity and social unity; Accountability. The label is valid for a period of two years.
The Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality and Deputy Chairman of the Board of NAMRB Ivo Dimov together with the Minister of Economy Lachezar Borisov presented the awards in the category of Municipal Investor, which are given to companies that have made significant investments in Bulgarian municipalities.
The solemn ceremony began with a performance by the Folk Ensemble "Philip Kutev".
