The singers Torino and Pashata will share the message #YOU ARE NOT ALONE with the teenagers and a one-hour concert in the square
On June 11, 2024, the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad, together with the Department "Fighting Drug Trafficking" at the National Customs Agency, organizes the initiative #You Are Not Alone, which introduces students to the dangers of drug use. The event is under the patronage of the mayor of Dimitrovgrad, Mr Ivo Dimov, and is being held on the occasion of June 26, the International Day to Combat Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking.
The head of the Department "Fighting Drug Trafficking" at the National Customs Agency, Mr Stefan Bakalov, will present an interactive presentation and introduce students from various Dimitrovgrad schools to the dangers of different types of drugs, as well as the consequences of their use.
Afterwards, on Bulgaria Square in Dimitrovgrad, customs officers and their trained customs dogs will demonstrate to the children tactics for searching luggage and detecting drugs.
The culmination of the event will be at 16.00 on the big stage in the square with a concert by the special ambassadors of the campaign – the pop stars Torino and Pashata. They stand behind the anti-drug initiative will be actively involved in the other segments of the event. The actor and musician Ivan Tishev also gives his support for the message "You are not alone against drugs".
The Managing Director of the National Customs Agency Mr Georgi Dimov, the mayor of Dimitrovgrad Mr Ivo Dimov and the Executive Director of the National Revenue Agency Mr Rumen Spetsov will also take part in the event.
The presentation for students, followed by a discussion with the participation of the singers Torino and the Pashata will start at 14.30 in Grosseto hall. The demonstrations with customs dogs are scheduled for 15.30 on Bulgaria Square.
The concert, which has free entry, will start at 16.00.
