IVO DIMOV OPENED A NEW CHILDREN'S PLAYGROUND IN THE VILLAGE OF GORSKI IZVOR
The mayor of Dimitrovgrad municipality Mr Ivo Dimov and the mayor of Gorski Izvor village Mr Angel Georgiev opened a new children's playground in one of the largest villages in Dimitrovgrad municipality. They wished the children in Gorski Izvor to use the playground with health. The playground is worth BGN 15 000, financed under the PUDOS program.
The opening of the facility took place during the traditional Pumpkin Festival, with which the village celebrates its main livelihood - the production of pumpkins. In the program of the holiday there were folklore performances, culinary tastings and the traditional competition between producers for the biggest, longest and most original pumpkin. The winners in the individual categories were awarded certificates and prizes.
Delicious pumpkin dishes were prepared by local craftsmen and women from the community centers of the municipality for today's holiday. The best of them received certificates for their culinary mastery. Children who participated in a drawing competition, dedicated to the pumpkin festival, were also honored.
The organizers of the event are the mayor's office in the village of Gorski Izvor and the local community centre ‘Probuda 1896’.
