The national dance competition "Bulgaria dances" with a jubilee edition

On November 6-8, Dimitrovgrad will host the fifteenth anniversary edition of the National Dance Competition for Theater and Stage Dances "Bulgaria Dances".The prestigious competition organized by the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad, the Municipal Center for Dance Art "Galaxico" is carried out with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Science. Every year the national dance competition gathers hundreds of participants. In the last year's edition nearly 2000 participants from 49 schools and formations from the country competed in the fest.

Applications for participation are currently being recruited from clubs, formations and community centers from all over the country. During the three competition days the participants will present solo performances, duets and small groups, formations and productions.

This year, too, nine state scholarships will be awarded, provided by the Ministry of Education and Science under the Program for the Protection of Gifted Children. They will be distributed among the most prominent soloists in the fourth age group (grades 8-12). At the same time, the most prestigious award - the Cup of the Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality, will be awarded to the team with the highest rating in the overall ranking in various dance genres.

Over the years, the National Dance Competition "Bulgaria Dances" has become a celebration of dance art. During all this time, hundreds of children from the country performed and danced with dedication in the name of the genuine ballet art ", said the director and choreographer of ”Galaxico"Tihomir Mitev.
