CONCERTS, PARADE AND AWARDS FOR MAY 24TH IN DIMITROVGRAD

Concerts, a procession and awards on the occasion of May 24th await the residents and guests of Dimitrovgrad. On May 23, 2023, at 7.30 p.m. on the stage of Bulgaria Square, a dance concert-performance by the Municipal Center for Dance Art Galaxiko "For you, Bulgaria, my beloved!" will take place. In the programme are also included: teacher Asen Pavlov - creator and leader of the ensemble "Chinari", ballet dancers from the Stara Zagora & Plovdiv State Operas - Ivaylo Yanev and Zlatomir Kolev, both graduates of the choreographer and head of the Galaxiko Dance Centre Mr Tihomir Mitev.
The city celebration and solemn ceremony on the occasion of May 24 will begin at 10:15 a.m. under the accompaniment of marching music with students and teachers, led by the Wind Orchestra and children from Dimitrovgrad schools. The festive procession will pass along the central pedestrian alley and will head to the stage on Bulgaria Square. The official celebration will begin with the holiday anthem in a joint performance by the "Slaveykovtsi" choir and the Wind Orchestra with conductor Mr Mitya Yordanov. Awarding the most outstanding teachers, cultural figures and students from the municipality will be the culmination of the celebration.
The municipality of Dimitrovgrad traditionally presents the highest awards in the field of education and culture. "Teacher of the Year" 2023 and "Worker of Culture" 2023 will take place on the big city stage. For the second year, the most outstanding students will be included and honored in the solemn ceremony. They will receive diplomas for achieving high educational success, raising the authority of the school and the municipality of Dimitrovgrad.
On Bulgaria Square, it will be possible to be seen the exhibition "We are proud of them", dedicated to local students with honors, awards and achievements.
