THE MAYOR OF DIMITROVGRAD MUNICIPALITY MR IVO DIMOV GATHERED ALL THE MAYORS OF THE SMALL SETTLEMENTS
The Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality Mr Ivo Dimov held the first Mayor's Day for the new mandate with the newly elected mayors of the small settlements in the municipality and the heads of the security and safety services. The meeting was attended by: Chief Inspector Mr Hristiyan Hristov - Head of the Regional Office Dimitrovgrad of the Ministry of the Interior, the mayors of the small settlements in the municipality, Chief Inspector Mr Ivan Pachov - Head of Fire Department Dimitrovgrad, the procurator of Neotitan Mr Atanas Stefanov, the Head of EVN Dimitrovgrad Mr Penyo Paunov.
The Mayor's Day, initiated by Ivo Dimov, was also attended by his deputy Mr Svetoslav Stoykov, the Secretary Mrs Veneta Koleva, the managers of municipal companies and experts from the municipal administration.
The mayors were introduced to the main activities resulting from their work and the interaction between individual units and institutions. Problems related to garbage, effective control of law enforcement officers and local authorities, adequate and timely response in crisis situations were discussed during the meeting.
Another topic was the state of the electricity transmission network in the municipality and where improvements are to be made - included in the investment program of EVN for 2024.
The mayors were introduced also to the social programs and the opportunities for people from small settlements to benefit from the social services offered by the municipality of Dimitrovgrad.
