Today was officially opened the new school year 2020/2021 in all schools in the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad. At the celebration, on the occasion of the first school day, the mayor Mr. Ivo Dimov was at “Pencho Slaveykov” Primary School, where the first-graders were welcomed with a rich program.
"This year, September the 15th is a little different, but in no case loses its luster. We are starting a different new school year. Let us welcome it with faith, optimism and mood! ”, said in his congratulation the mayor Ivo Dimov.
This school year starts with a new principal, Mrs. Maria Yaneva. "This year we will do many different things together for the first time, but loving parents and dedicated teachers will come to your aid," Yaneva told the first-graders.
Today, 4079 students crossed the school threshold in the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad in compliance with the prescriptions and safety anti-epidemic measures. The school festivities started at different times in the different schools, as only the children from the first, fifth and eighth grade were welcomed in the schoolyards with short celebrations. The other students entered the classrooms, where they solemnly celebrated the new school year.
