THE MAYOR IVO DIMOV AND THE UNIONS SIGNED COLLECTIVE LABOR CONTRACT ON MUNICIPAL LEVEL IN THE SYSTEM OF EDUCATION
The Collective Labor Agreement for those working in the field of education in Dimitrovgrad was signed today by the Mayor Mr Dimov and the representatives of the Municipal Coordination Council of the Bulgarian Teachers' Union at the Confederation of Bulgarian Unions Mrs Donka Valeva, the Regional Union "Education" at the Confederation of Labor "Podkrepa" Mrs Ivanka Yancheva, the Union of Employers in the System of Preschool and School Education in Bulgaria - Dimitrovgrad Section represented by the Chairman Mr Valentin Hristov.
"I thank the unions and the employers' union for the fruitful and mutual work at the local level. For me, this is extremely important because it is related to education, which is fundamental to our work and our aspiration to provide normal conditions for our children to learn and develop," said the mayor.
The representatives of the unions also expressed gratitude for the good social dialogue and explained that the next Collective Labor Agreement builds on the national one and will support those working in the education system in Dimitrovgrad.
The new municipal collective labor agreement regulates the labor and social security relations of pedagogical specialists and non-pedagogical personnel working in the field of preschool and school education in the municipality of Dimitrovgrad. The officials detailized the figures of the new CLC and the remuneration levels of the workers: for those working in the field of education in the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad, the minimum amounts of additional remuneration for personal professional qualification for the first, second, third and fourth professional qualification levels are higher (compared to those agreed in the national CTD); the amount of the amounts for a lecture hour is also higher (compared to those agreed in the national CTD). A higher remuneration for one lecture hour has been agreed, as well as the amount of vouchers for free meals for non-pedagogical specialists, and only pedagogical specialists working in the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad in kindergartens and preparatory groups in schools will also be entitled to vouchers for free meals, an arrangement that is not in the national sectoral CTD. The Municipality of Dimitrovgrad will also pay a higher amount of additional remuneration for work with children and students with SEN - for directors, teachers and pedagogical specialists and for assistant educators in kindergartens. Employees in municipal schools and kindergartens will also be paid 50% of the costs of transportation from their place of residence to their place of work and back within the municipal center, something that has again been achieved only for the municipality, since there is no such agreement in the sectoral Labor Code. An additional 2-day annual leave have also been agreed upon under Art. 155, paragraph 4 of the Labor Code. The additional remuneration of employees in the preschool and school education system has been agreed upon not less than one salary, distributed in three payments, reflected in the internal rules for the salaries of the educational institution and in accordance with the planned budget.
