THE MAYOR IVO DIMOV AWARDED THE READER OF THE YEAR AND THE AMBASSADOR OF THE CITY LIBRARY FOR 2025
The annual awards "Reader of the Year" and "Ambassador of the Library" for 2025 were presented today by the Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality Mr Ivo Dimov and the manager of the City Library.
Lina Boyadzhieva was "Reader of the Year" for adults with 249 book loans for 2025.
In the Children's Department, the awards were grouped in four age categories. The names of the best children readers for 2025 are: Nevena Marianova Markova, Andrey Velizarov Penev, Viktor Hubenov Yanchev, Yoana Milenova Srebreva, and Martin Andreev Moraliev.
This year, two ladies received the "Ambassador of the Library" award - Antoaneta Daskalova-Yankova /reader of the previuos year/ and an active participant, co-organizer, popularizer of library events and moderator of the "Book Shelter" Readers' Club, and Viktoria Andreeva - a teacher at a local kindergarten, who actively promotes reading among children.
The City Library has a new Digital Club, which has 6 modern workstations, equipped with the most contemporary equipment and software with an investment of 43,800 BGN. The club was established under the project "Building a Network of Digital Clubs", Component "Education and Skills" of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, with the support of the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
