MAYOR IVO DIMOV AND THE UNIONS SIGNED THE COLLECTIVE LABOR CONTRACT ON MUNICIPAL LEVEL IN THE SYSTEM OF EDUCATION IN HASKOVO REGION
The Collective Labor Agreement for those working in the field of education in Dimitrovgrad was signed today by Mayor Mr Dimov and the representatives of the Municipal Coordination Council of the Bulgarian Teachers' Union at the Confederation of Bulgarian Unions mrs Donka Valeva, the Regional Union "Education" at the Confederation of Labor "Podkrepa" mrs Ivanka Yancheva, the Union of Employers in the System of Preschool and School Education in Bulgaria - Dimitrovgrad Section represented by the Chairman Mr Valentin Hristov.
"I thank the unions and the employers' union for the fruitful and mutual work at the local level. For me, this is extremely important because it is related to education, which is fundamental to our work and our aspiration to provide normal conditions for our children to learn and develop," said the mayor.
The representatives of the unions also expressed gratitude for the good social dialogue and explained that the next Collective Labor Agreement builds on the national one and will support those working in the education system in Dimitrovgrad.
"The signing of today's collective labor agreement proves once again that we are working responsibly and fruitfully with the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad and its Mayor.", said the chairwoman of the Regional Union "Education" Mrs Ivanka Yancheva.
"Thank you for the cooperation and the way of working that we have had for years. So far, we have worked in quite successful way. What we negotiate in the municipal CLC is not a small thing and I will emphasize that it is unique in the Haskovo region. In our region, such a municipal CLC has not been signed anywhere so far," added the chairwoman of the Union of Bulgarian Teachers Mrs Donka Valeva.
The new municipal collective labor agreement regulates the labor and social security relations of pedagogical specialists and non-pedagogical personnel working in the field of preschool and school education in the municipality of Dimitrovgrad. The officials detailized the figures of the new CLC and the remuneration levels of the workers. They reported a higher remuneration for one lecture hour - not less than BGN 10.50. Pedagogical specialists who do not meet the requirement for holding a specific position, but who have a professional qualification of "teacher", will also receive not less than BGN 8.50. The amount of vouchers for free meals for non-pedagogical specialists is also higher. Dimitrovgrad Municipality will pay a higher amount of additional remuneration for working with children and students with SEN - for principals, teachers and pedagogical specialists and for assistant educators in kindergartens. Those working in municipal schools and kindergartens will also be paid 50% of the costs of transportation from their place of residence to their place of work and back within the municipal center. An additional 2 days of annual leave have also been agreed. The additional remuneration of those working in the preschool and school education system has been agreed in the amount of not less than one salary, distributed in three payments.
At the event, Mayor Ivo Dimov once again expressed gratitude to the Minister of Education Mr Krasimir Valchev for preserving all classes in the Dimitrovgrad municipality.
