THE MAYOR, THE HEAD OF FORESTRY DEPARTMENT HASKOVO AND CHILDREN PLANTED TREES IN VAPTSAROV PARK

Today, the Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality  Mr Ivo Dimov and the Head of State Forestry Dapartment Haskovo Mrs Diana Vasileva, together with children from "Zvanche" Kindergarten, planted trees in Vaptsarov Park on the occasion of Forest Week. During the event, Mrs Vasileva told the children how to properly plant trees and their importance for nature. Mr Dimov, the Mayor,  recalled that Dimitrovgrad is one of the greenest cities in Bulgaria. The intention of the municipality is to improve the city green environment, and specially Vaptsarov Park. The children greeted the attendees with a short program and expressed their desire to care for and water the new-planted trees.

This year's Forest Week environmental campaign is under the title "Forest is life...and our shared responsibility" and takes place in the period April 1 - 7.
