CITIZENS OF DIMITROVGRAD HONORED THE MEMORY OF THE POET PENYO PENEV
The Deputy Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality Mr Svetoslav Stoykov, the Secretary Mrs Veneta Koleva and dozens of Dimitrovgrad residents bowed in front of the monument of the poet Penyo Penev in the city's park of the same name. Today we mark the 66th anniversary of his death. The program began with a performance by the Brass Band – Dimitrovgrad and a speech about Penyo Penev’s poetry, created by the writer Petar Chuhov, a laureate of the National Literary Award ‘2024. The student Atanas Atanasov gave a pathetic recital of a poem of Penyo Penev.
