Dozens of young families with their children came to Maritsa Park on Palm Sunday to receive saplings, which they can plant in the alley, in their yards or in inter-block spaces.

The free cedar saplings are provided by Kaolin Co., which has been supporting the environmental project of the Dimitrovgrad municipality for 14 years.

"Dimitrovgrad was designed and created as a green city. A third of its area is parks, gardens and green areas. There is nothing better," said Mayor Dimov.

He presented certificates, name tags, and souvenir magnets to the children. Balloons and a meeting with fairy-tale characters completed the mood during today's initiative in Maritsa Park.
