DR. KARAGYOZOV RECEIVED THE AWARD ‘DESERVING BULGARIANS’ ON BEHALF OF KERKA YOTOVA
Kerka and Stoycho Stoyanovi were honored for their donation at an official ceremony in Sofia today. The award, a badge and a diploma on behalf of Kerka Stoyanova was received by the manager of the Municipal Hospital, Dr. Aldin Karagyozov.
With words of gratitude and recognition, he addressed the attendees, among whom was the Prime Minister - Mr Rosen Zhelyazkov.
"The gesture that these people made is respectful and needs your admiration! I am grateful that there are people like Kerka and Stoycho, which shows that kindness in Bulgarians exists," said Dr. Karagyozov emotionally, receiving the award.
On a video screen, the organizers played an address from the 96-year-old Kerka, as well as photos from the renovated children's department in the Dimitrovgrad hospital.
The Prime Minister Mr Rosen Zhelyazkov attended the official ceremony for the awarding the Deserving Bulgarians ‘2025 – a campaign of the newspaper ‘24 Chasa’. Over 30 Bulgarians with big hearts have been honored this year. The initiative is being held for the 22nd time. The idea is that people who inspire us to believe in goodness should receive public recognition. These are people with different professions and from different settlements who have shown exceptional kindness and heroism.
