AUSTRALIAN JAZZ WITH A BULGARIAN FLAVOR IN DIMITROVGRAD

The Australian band David Dower Trio has got a concert in Dimitrovgrad this evening. The event is a part of their current tour in Bulgaria. The group combines jazz, rock and even Bulgarian musical influences to create its own original sound. After their concerts in Plovdiv and Sofia, the musicians will play in Dimitrovgrad on July 10 (Wednesday). The concert starts at 8:00 p.m. on the Central City Avenue.

The trio has already recorded three albums in Bulgaria. Their latest musical project called ‘Ant’ includes collaboration with Bulgarian musicians, a folk choir and a kaval performer. This year, the trio adds a fourth member, UK-based guitarist Elliot Frost, as their special guest on the stage.

After the concert in Dimitrovgrad, the musicians will take part in the Jazz festivals in Burgas and Veliko Tarnovo. The concert of the band is a part of the cultural program "A Piece of Summer", which Dimitrovgrad municipality has been holding for eleven years in the month of July.
