156 STUDENTS FROM DIMITROVGRAD RECEIVED THEIR SCHOLARSHIPS
156 students from Dimitrovgrad municipality received their scholarships at a special ceremony. The scholarships were awarded by the Mayor of Dimitrovgrad Municipality Mr Ivo Dimov. Two students have been awarded the special scholarship for exceptional achievements in the field of science, technology, and mathematicsfor their high results achieved and ranked first in dozens of mathematics competitions - international, national, regional. The value of their scholarships is 1,500 BGN per student. The remaining 154 students from first to twelfth grade received a one-time financial incentive in the amount of 100 to 576 BGN for achievements in various fields and areas - sports, science, and arts.
The scholarships and financial incentives are granted according to a Program that is adopted annually by the Municipal Council and a commission composed of seven municipal councilors, one holder of the title "Teacher of the Year", one holder of the title "Coach of the Year" and two municipal experts. 195 children and students has applied this year.
