133 PARTICIPANTS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY TAKE PART IN THE COMPETITION "MARITSA 5 RUN", HELD IN DIIMITROVGRAD
133 participants from all over the country took part in the running competition "Maritsa 5" in Dimitrovgrad. The event attracted dozens of participants - experienced runners and lovers - from Sofia, Plovdiv, Pleven, Stara Zagora, Yambol, Haskovo, Peshtera, Kazanlak, Kaspichan, Chirpan, Parvomay, Nova Zagora, Karnobat, Harmanli, Simeonovgrad, Ivaylovgrad, Stamboliyski, and Dimitrovgrad. The oldest participant in the race was 60 years old, and among the enthusiasts there was also a whole family from Stara Zagora, who joined in the running with their little six-year-old son. The prizes were vouchers for sports goods, cash prizes, cups and medals, as well as certificates for each participant in the race and a raffle with prizes provided by sponsors.

The organizers of the event were the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad and FC "Dimitrovgrad – 1947. The initiators of the sporting event are the students and active athletes Daniel Yovchev, Dimitar Petrov, Martin Pashaliev and Isus-Manuel Kakalov. The main goal of the event is to promote sports and an active lifestyle among citizens.
